Associate Spotlight – Kim Weinzierl

What’s one skill you believe is essential for success in any career? Flexibility or adaptability. Business models, technologies, and industries shift rapidly and sometimes frequently. Being flexible allows someone to adjust to new tools, processes, and expectations without feeling overwhelmed. Also, an adaptable individual can remain composed when circumstances change or pivot, carefully assess the situation, and identify a new way to move forward.

What’s something quirky or unexpected that makes you a better teammate? I am persistent and dedicated to thoroughly investigating issues. I strive to gather all relevant information and explore all possible solutions to ensure complete problem resolution.

Do you have a favorite coffee shop, park, or restaurant near the City Center that you love to go to? I enjoy stopping at 2540 Coffee House. The employees are always so friendly, and they usually have a fun and festive coffee flight to try.

How do you reset when work starts to feel overwhelming? If I am working on a big, complex project and feel overwhelmed, I take a break and find smaller tasks that I can complete quickly and easily. The sense of accomplishment helps bring me back into focus. If I don’t have smaller tasks to complete or just need time away from my desk, you can find me working on a puzzle or reading.

What’s a piece of career advice you’ve received that stuck with you? There is no such thing as a dumb question.
