Associate Spotlight – Deb Meinke

If you could instantly master one new professional skill, what would it be? The skill I’d like to instantly master is adaptability – because life doesn’t always come with a manual, and I’d love to be the person who thrives when the script changes.
What’s one weekend activity that always recharges you? Spending time with friends and family is such a great way to recharge; it combines connection, laughter, and comfort.
What’s a small decision you made that ended up changing your life in a big way? Being thankful for every day that God has given me. I try to make the most of each day by making it better for each person I encounter: whether that’s a smile, a simple “hi”, or letting customers talk about things happening in their lives to provide an outlet or point of comfort.
Is there one thing that motivates you about the year ahead? Each new year feels like a fresh start, and what really motivates me is the opportunity to grow and make a positive impact. I’m excited to take on new challenges, strengthen my skills, and build even more on the supportive environment I have found myself in.
How do you approach solving a problem you’ve never encountered before? I approach a problem I have never experienced before by conducting research. I gather as much information as possible from reliable sources, check into best practices, and seek expert advice. I look for similar scenarios and proven solutions. Once I have a solid understanding, I analyze the options to determine my best solution and stay flexible if I need to fine-tune or change it.
