Associate Spotlight – Brittnee Schiff

Brittnee Schiff, Lead Teller

What’s a professional goal you’re excited to tackle this year? One professional goal I am excited to focus on this year is getting more involved in the community and continuing to grow as a leader. I plan to do this by networking more locally, attending leadership webinars, and participating in Women in Banking conferences. Last year, I completed the Douglas County Leadership program through UW Superior, where I met many local business owners and learned about their leadership journeys, including the challenges they faced and the successes they achieved. Hearing those stories firsthand was incredibly motivating and inspired me to help guide others toward their own personal and professional goals.

What’s one habit that helps you start the year strong? One habit that helps me start the year strong is setting four goals at the beginning of the year, one for each quarter. Sometimes they are personal, sometimes professional, and sometimes a mix of both. I have found that setting one big goal for the entire year can feel overwhelming, so breaking them into smaller and more manageable goals helps me stay focused and motivated. It also gives me something to work toward throughout the year and a fresh start each quarter.

If you could learn any new skill in 2026, what would it be? If I could learn a new skill in 2026, it would be public speaking. While some colleagues might say I speak well in front of groups, it is actually one of my biggest fears. I would love to find more opportunities to practice so I can continue building confidence and feel more comfortable speaking in front of others.

What’s your favorite winter activity? My favorite winter activity is going to the Bentleyville Tour of Lights with my three-year-old daughter, Izzy. Seeing her excitement when we pull into the parking lot and hearing her say, “Mommy, look how beautiful,” from the back seat never gets old. Those moments make winter extra special for me.

What’s one word that describes your outlook for this year? Excited! Going into 2026, I have goals set, positive energy to share, and the opportunity to work with great people who support my growth. I am also excited to continue guiding and supporting my colleagues at NBC as they grow into their own leadership journeys.
