NBC Makes Donation to Duluth Legacy Fund
National Bank of Commerce recently pledged $35,000 to the Duluth Legacy Endowment Fund (DLEF), a fund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation. Pictured is Steve Burgess, CEO of National Bank of Commerce, handing a check to Nick Lansing, a member of the Duluth Legacy Endowment Fund Committee. Of the contribution, Mr. Burgess says, “We exist to help the people, businesses and organizations within our region achieve greater things, grow within our economy and live full lives. By committing to the Duluth Legacy Endowment Fund, this is another example of how National Bank of Commerce makes more possible.”
The DLEF was established in 2005 to encourage lasting contributions from individuals and organizations to fulfill specific public interests for the community of Duluth in the areas of arts and culture, beautification, economic development, education, the environment, human services, parks, and recreation. Only the earnings from the Fund are distributed, assuring that the amenities and programs that Duluthians hold dear are supported forever.
